It is the intent of the Mayor for the City's Veterans Service Department to uphold the mission of providing quality services and benefits to veterans and their dependents in need of emergency financial and medical assistance under Chapter 115 M.G.L. and to provide assistance in filling out applications and/or answering questions regarding VA Compensation, pensions, burials, etc. For information concerning statewide veterans' events and programs, visit the MVSOA webpage

Cell Phones for Soldiers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active-duty military members and veterans. Newton City Hall is an official drop site for used cell phones that are turned into calling minutes for our troops. Look for the collection box marked "Cell Phones for Soldiers"
