Older Adult Services (OAS) offers about one hundred programs per week at the Cooper Center.
How to Find Program Information
To keep people informed about those programs, we publish a Friday update email, a bi-monthly print newsletter, a weekly calendar, and daily calendars for today and for tomorrow (weekdays only). We also have an ongoing fitness calendar.
Parks, Recreation, & Culture also offers programs at the Cooper Center. To view and register for their programs click here. To view their calendar click here and search for the location "Cooper Center."
Occasionally programs are cancelled due to unexpected circumstances.

Call for Art: Cooper Center Gallery Program
The Cooper Center and the Department of Arts and Culture invite individual artists or artist teams to apply to display their work in the Cooper Center Gallery Program. Selected artists will have the opportunity to contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Newton by sharing their creativity in this lively public space.
Exhibits at the Cooper Center run for three months, and artwork is expected to remain on display for the entire three-month period.
The current Call for Art covers the exhibition period that runs from June 1 through August 28, 2026.
Timeline

The Department of Older Adult Services/Cooper Center for Active Living offers two options for receiving program information and general updates. Our paper newsletter, Coming of Age, is mailed out every other month to subscribers. Please click here to let us know if you would like to sign-up for the "Coming of Age" (paper newsletter).
