Helping Newton Neighbors who are Hungry
Over 1.1 million people in Massachusetts and 4,400 here in Newton use critical food resources from the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Due to the federal shutdown, funding for those resources are very uncertain.
The City is working closely with our three Newton food pantries ─ the Centre Street Food Pantry, Newton Food Pantry, and the Arabic Baptist Church Pantry ─ and wonderful partners to help people continue to have access to nutritious food and essential resources during this difficult time.
Mayor Ruthanne Fuller has shared detailed information in her recent e-newsletter about how we can help. To read that issue, click here.

We are currently processing requests for the OA Parking Sticker (formerly known as Senior Parking Sticker). In addition to our new name, we are excited to share that we have a new look as well! The price is still $6.00 and the sticker is valid for 2 years and expire June 30, 2027.
There are several ways you can request your sticker. Our most recent option is using the City's NewGov online permitting system. NewGov allows you to upload your information online, pay, and pick up your sticker when it is ready. You also have the options to drop in (limited hours), drop off or mail in your information packets. Additional information about the process to request your sticker can be found on our website.
