 How to Find Program Information

To keep people informed about those programs, we have these publications:

You may register for many of our activities online at myactivecenter.com Sign-up instructions are here.

Parks & Recreation also offers programs at the Cooper Center. To view and register for their programs click here.  To view their calendar click here and search for the location "Cooper Center."

 Cooper Center Hours

Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday - 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. (except City holidays)

Walking Track Policies (2)

The Cooper's Center's walking track is tremendously popular, drawing walkers from the time we open in the morning until we close at night. To enhance the experience for all participants, we have created Walking Track Policies, which will be posted in various places around the track. View the full-size flyer here.

GoGo Newton makes it easy to travel to the Cooper Center for events and classes.  The on-demand service is available from ANY address in Newton TO and FROM 345 Walnut Street. To set up an account or for more informationclick here.

Cooper Cards

To register for programs, you will need a Cooper Card. A Cooper Card is a free keytag used to register online at myactivecenter.com or to sign in for a program at Cooper. 
To get a card, visit our Front Desk at Cooper, 345 Walnut Street, Newtonville, or click here to access our fillable form. Once completed, save a copy to your computer and email it to our office at OASPrograms@newtonma.gov as an attachment.  For any questions, please call (617) 796-1675.

  Stay Connected with the Coming of Age Newsletter and Weekly Updates

The Department of Older Adult Services offers two options for receiving program information and general updates.  Our paper newsletter, Coming of Age, is mailed out every month to subscribers.  Please click here to let us know if you would like to sign-up for the "Coming of Age" (paper newsletter).  

Our program information is sent out weekly via email.
