Transportation is fundamental to the quality of life in Newton. Guided by the Newton Leads 2040 Transportation Strategy, the City supports people of all ages and abilities moving around the City by foot, bike, subway, bus or vehicle. By 2040, Newton's transportation system will be safe, smart, accessible, livable and sustainable.  The Transportation team works closely with the Climate and Sustainability team to ensure the City's Climate Action Plan goals are achieved.
