About this project

This document is meant to augment the comprehensive economic strategy published in 2019. Please see the 2019 Action Plan.

This project was initiated during the fall of 2024. Demographic and market research and stakeholder interviews were performed between January and October of 2025.

The research and report were completed through the efforts of City staff in collaboration with the Economic Development Commission, and with the assistance of economic development consultant Camoin Associates. The consultant's fees were paid for with a $50,000 grant from the Community Compact Best Practices program which Newton received from the Healy Administration in September 2024.
