The Newton Fair Housing Committee has merged with the Newton Housing Partnership. The name of the new group is now called the Newton Fair and Affordable Housing Partnership. The integration of both groups' functions will strengthen its mission for the creation and advocacy for affordable housing and to ensure that fair housing remains as a continuing strong construct for the City of Newton.

- Reviewing Project Consideration of City Fair Housing Goals. (Revised 2019) to help the City meet its HUD agreement to review all development projects with criteria aimed to include Fair Housing Goals.
- Fair Housing in the Newton Housing Strategy (2016)
- Architectural Accessibility Action Plan (2012). The Action Plan identifies priorities for action that stem from the recommendations made by Ramping Up: Planning for a More Accessible Newton that, if implemented, will become significant steps in eliminating impediments to fair housing choice in Newton for people with disabilities.

Meeting Schedule
The Partnership meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month unless otherwise posted.

NOTE: complaints of housing discrimination must be filed with the Newton Human Rights Commission within 300 days of the most recent violation, which is the same time limit under Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD).
