Purpose and Mission
The Commission on Disability's mission is to foster equal access to community life and activities for people with disabilities. Through education and advocacy, the Commission works to raise awareness about the needs and rights of people with disabilities and the importance of increased accessibility to programs, housing, and facilities in municipal and commercial buildings, and other public entities.

Disability Discrimination Grievance Procedure
This Grievance Procedure is established to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act. It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in employment practices and policies or the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the City of Newton.
