Owner Jill Remby purchased the business in 2021 from founder Renee "Petsi" McLeod, who grew up baking pies in her grandmother's kitchen. Before owning the bakery, Jill worked at Petsi Pies for five years as a pastry chef, bookkeeper, and operations manager. From her first day working at Petsi, she felt at home recognizing its uniqueness and shared values with Renee regarding making food and engaging with people.

Plazito Mexico Taco
We will be featuring two of our most popular menu items at the Newton Farmer's Market at Cold Spring Park in Newton Centre on Tuesday afternoons:
Birria Tacos: A standout on the menu, the Birria Tacos consist of corn tortillas dipped in a special beef broth, filled with cheese and slow-cooked shredded beef, then grilled to perfection. Served with a side of beef consommé for dipping, these tacos have been praised for their rich flavor and authenticity.
Churros: For dessert, the churros are a must-try. These pastries are fried to achieve a crunchy exterior and soft interior, dusted with cinnamon sugar, and filled with dulce de leche, also known as Mexican caramel.
