The Aquatics Division hires seasonal Managers, Lifeguards, Swim Instructors and Front Desk Staff to work at either Crystal Lake Beach or Gath Pool.
Prerequisites:
All members of the aquatics division play a critical role in ensuring safety for patrons. Staff must be mature, professional, and reliable to meet the demands of the job. Staff are required to work as a part of a team to provide patrons with excellent service. Gath Pool and Crystal Lake are open 7 days a week during the summer season. We expect all staff to have flexibility and be able to work a combination of shifts including opening/closing and weekdays/weekends from Mid June to the end of August.
Lifeguards: Must be 16+ years of age and hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Able to work a variety of mornings, afternoons & weekends throughout the Summer season. Starting rate $18/Hour
Swim Instructors: Minimum age 14+, passion for working with children with varied learning abilities, prior experience working with kids (preferred)
Front Desk: Minimum age 14+, strong communication & computer skills, able to work directly with the general public to provide excellent customer service. Starting Rate $15/hour.
How To Apply:
Candidates should apply no later than April of each spring. Available positions are based on the number of vacancies from the previous season and can be limited.
The first step for all new applicants is to email the Director a job interest form and a copy of your lifeguard certification (if applicable) If you are selected for an interview, we will contact you by email. Upon a successful interview, candidates will need to pass a tryout (information below)

Lifeguard Tryouts:
Lifeguard candidates who complete a successful interview will be invited to the annual Lifeguard Tryouts prior to the season start. In order to be hired, all new Lifeguards must be able to demonstrate competency in the Red Cross rescue skills (including a submerged rescue to 12ft) and perform a 500 yard continuous pool swim using freestyle stroke with rhythmic breathing.
Certification Courses:
