Jackson Homestead and Museum
The Jackson Homestead and Museum hosted a free public reading of Frederick Douglass’ powerful address “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” followed by a community discussion, related crafts activities. The Museum was open to further explore abolition in the 19th century.
This program was presented in partnership with Newton Cultural Development and is funded in part by Mass Humanities.
