As Historic Newton’s signature event, the annual House Tour is one of the city’s most anticipated events. Through our House Tour, generous residents open the doors of their private homes to the public, introducing them to architectural gems in a variety of the styles prevalent in Newton and the fascinating behind-the-scenes stories. Over 400 guests enjoy this tour each year, and receive a program book featuring information on the homes and acknowledgement of our Tour sponsors.

This event is our largest event of the year, and a main source of funding for Historic Newton. Our mission focuses on educating our community and we do so every day through programs for school children, lectures at local senior living facilities, fielding research requests in our archives, and caring for our historic properties. Historic Newton sees over 5,000 visitors at our museums annually.
