Help make history happen! Historic Newton welcomes volunteers of all skills, talents, and abilities. Anyone can sign up to be a volunteer, including individuals, families, students, and businesses. By volunteering your time and services, you will be helping to support Newton’s history for both present and future generations. 

Examples of volunteer tasks include:

• Special events like Hayfest, House Tour, and Plant Swap

• Gardening and grounds keeping at our two museums and three burying grounds

• Working with our archives and collections to digitize, transcribe, photograph, and more

• Assisting with education and public programming, as well as off-site events

• Administrative support, including data entry, preparing mailings, and file organization
