The Passage of the Federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in August 2022 authorized the creation of many new incentives for home energy projects, both tax credits and direct incentives. The tax credits went into effect by the start of 2023, as linked in the table above. Learn more from the U.S Department of Energy's Energy Savings Hub and nonprofit Rewiring America's estimated incentive calculator. Note that the federal tax credits listed above are now set to expire by the end of 2025.

Financing opportunities include Mass Save's HEAT loan (0% financing on up to $25,000) and the Energy Saver Home Loan Program (0.5-2% interest on a $10,000-$100,000 loan).
