The 42nd Annual Newton House Tour
Every year, Historic Newton presents the Newton House Tour to showcase historic homes in the city. Each private residence is carefully selected by a committee to exhibit how homeowners have made creative renovations and interesting interior design choices that add to the life of a historic building. Guests will come away with a greater appreciation for historic homes and inspiration for their own projects. The tour’s lead sponsor is The Village Bank.
There will be seven homes on the tour this year, and design aspects will span centuries and cultures. With one of Newton’s earliest homes on the tour, guests are sure to enjoy a range of architectural styles from 1700 to the modern era.
The Newton House Tour will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 12pm to 5pm. Guests can arrive at the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds to pick up their tour materials as early as 10 am on the day of the event. Tickets for Historic Newton Members are $40; nonmembers’ ticket price is $50; all guests purchasing tickets the day of the event will pay $55. Due to the historic nature of the homes, the tour is not mobility-aid accessible. Because each home is a private residence, all pets are prohibited, children under 12 are not permitted, and strollers are not allowed in the homes.
