Open House entertainment will include Davey the Clown, Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys, and "History at Play" which chronicles the life of Deborah Samson, the first woman to fight in the American Military.
During the Open House at Newton City Hall, Soldier's Care packages will be prepared for shipping. Anyone wishing to donate should bring items to Newton City Hall, room 204. Items being collected include protein bars, hot chocolate packets, soup, microwave popcorn, cannned tuna, shampoo, used cell pones, and soap.
Prior to the Open House, families are invited to come to City Hall at 10am if children and adults wish to help pack food items which have been donated during the Mayor's Annual Food Drive.
The Mayor's Open House begins at 1:30 pm on Thursday, December 31, and will end at 3:30pm. In addition to entertainment, there will be face-painting for children and arts and crafts, and refreshments. Please join us!
