Best Wishes On His Retirement

Chief Mintz congratulated.Mayor Warren speaking at the party for Chief Mintz.   

Mayor Setti Warren and Chief Financial Officer/Chief of Staff Maureen Lemieux were among the well wishers at a City Hall event expressing appreciation to Chief Mintz for his years of service to the people of Newton.  Chief Mintz retires at the end of the month because all Public Safety personnel in the Commonwealth must retire at the age of 65.  Mayor Warren praised Chief Mintz for his more than thirty years of service, “It has been my honor to serve with someone who possesses the highest amount of integrity a person can have and who is a model police officer and model public servant.”   At the event, incoming Police Chief David MacDonald said Chief Mintz, "had the strongest work ethic possible," something which was, "admired by every man and woman in the department."
