Please join us Saturday, November 21, from 10:30am-1pm, to celebrate the City of Newton taking ownership of the Waban Hill Reservoir.
Formerly closed to the public while owned by the MWRA, the Waban Hill Reservoir property will now be open for walking and for the passive recreation.
The family event on Saturday will begin at 10:30am with facepainting and the chance for children to use two inflatables, including a large slide.
The Friends of Waban Hill Reservoir will offer refreshments and Historic Newton will have information about the history of the property.
A speaking program will begin at 11am and will include Mayor Warren, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Robert DeRubeis, Alderman Lisle Baker, and Friends of Waban Hill Reservoir President Gail Silberstein.
