Newton Bicycle-Pedestrian Task Force (BPTF): The Bicycle/Pedestrian Task Force is a citizen group which works to increase bicycle and pedestrian awareness and facilitation throughout the City. Meetings are open to all and are usually held at 7:45 on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the City Hall cafeteria (basement). Bike Newton: Bike Newton is a 501-3C non-profit organization working with Green Decade Newton and Newton Bicycle/Pedestrian Task Force to make Newton a bicycle-friendly and safe place to ride bikes to do errands, get to the T, go to school and after-school activities...and for recreation. Free membership, public is welcome at monthly steering committee meetings, usually held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM at Brigham House, 20 Hartford Street, Newton Highlands (next to the public parking lot).
