Badminton Instruction
Coach and instructor Wee Tam and his assistants will teach beginner and intermediate participants the skills of badminton including grip, stroke development, movement around the court, singles and doubles play, and physical training to support badminton skills. 

Cost for instruction is $105.00 for each 5 week session and $125.00 for each 6 week session per person

Cost for Round Robin is $55.00 per person for each 5 week session and $65.00 per person for each 6 week session

Fall and Spring classes will be held on Saturdays at the Carr School located at 225 Nevada St, Newton, MA  02460

  • Badminton Instruction for Youth in grades 2 - 8 from 9:45 - 11:00 AM
  • Badminton Instruction for Adults and Ages 14 & over from 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
  • Round Robin play for ages 14 & over from 12:30 - 1:45 PM

Session 2: March 9, 16, 23, 30 & April 13, 2019 (5 weeks)

Session 3: April 27, May 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2019 (5 weeks)

Badminton Summer Camp
July 22 - August 2, 2019

All campers will participate in approximately 3 hours of badminton training and instruction each day.  Coach and instructor Wee Tam and his assistants will teach beginner and intermediate participants the skills of badminton including grip, stroke development, movement around the court, singles and doubles play, and physical training to support badminton skills.  Participants may sign up by week.

This camp is for beginner and intermediate boys and girls going into grades 2 - 8.  Half day (8:30 - 12:15), standard day (8:30 - 3:30) and extended day (8:15 - 5:30) options are available.  Standard day and extended day campers will get to participate choice activities at camp including arts and crafts, inside games, playground, sports, creative writing and S.T.E.M. activities.
