 The Division of Urban Forestry is the lead agency responsible for emergencies related to trees on public property and the streets of Newton. An emergency ranges from a large limb blocking a street to City tree on a house. We are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
If you have a tree emergency between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (except holidays) please contact us at (617) 796-1530
If you have a tree emergency outside of these hours at night, weekends, or holidays please contact the Newton Police Department at (617) 796-2100
