 What Was Auburndale Station? In 1881 the B&A Railroad began construction of several stations in Newton. Auburndale Station was the first one of many stations constructed in Newton. In the early 1960’s the Auburndale Station was torn down to make way for the Massachusetts Turnpike. The Auburndale Station was located where the MBTA commuter rail stop now lies between the bridges at Lexington St. and Woodland Rd. |  | Location and Facilities Auburndale Station Summer Program is held at the Williams School located at 141 Grove Street in Auburndale, Massachusetts. The area has plenty of outdoor space and fresh air for a day camp program. There are playing fields and a playground for outdoor use. The school building provides ample space for indoor play, arts and crafts, and other inside activities. | Dates: **NEW** in 2013 - We are now offering a 7th Week. Auburndale Station will run from July 1st through August 16th 2013. Registration begins for Newton residents on January 27th 2013 and for non-residents on March 1st and continues until the program fills.
