|Position Description:||Under the supervision of the Chief of Police, provides assistance to children and other pedestrians in crossing at specified streets along school routes; and performs related work as required.|
Assembles children and other pedestrians behind curb lines awaiting traffic lulls or signal changes.
Stops traffic and escorts pedestrians into the street allowing then to cross safely.
Instructs children in proper procedures for safe street crossing.
Reports students who do not adhere to safe street crossing procedures to appropriate school officials.

MWThF - 7:50 AM - 8:35 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM
Tuesday 7:50 AM - 8:35 AM, 12:30 - 1:15 PM
Additionally there are six early release days on Thursdays throughout the school year.
Salary is $201.23 a week for 43 weeks at 7.5 hours of work OR
$166.40 a week for 52 weeks at 7.5 hours of work.
Holiday pay after completing 30 days of service for school vacations and official holidays.
UNIFORMS: We provide rain gear, white gloves, ball cap, winter jacket, polo shirt, winter gloves and hat. We do not provide footwear of pants.
