The most fun part of Springfest this year was the two room cardboard house that the kids made. It was part of a "construction site" at Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds that included cardboard, tape, markers, etc., and was left completely open-ended for the kids to build whatever they wanted. They chose to build a two room house which included framed art up on the wall inside, a cardboard computer and stereo. Over time, the house changed to an A-frame, and later a sailboat. The last incarnation of the cardboard was a campfire complete with cardboard s’mores. How fitting at the end of a fun day!
