New Baskets with learning tools for 3-5 year olds at Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds.

After installing terrific games and puzzles for elementary students in our hands-on exhibits, we are now turning our attention to the younger ones.  Two soft and friendly baskets in each of two rooms in the museum now have books, puzzles and toys that bring alive the teaching theme for that exhibit.  In our 18th century farmhouse kitchen, you will find beautifully crafted wooden farm animals, books about farms and farm animal puzzles.  In our exhibit about the Kenrick nursery trees and flowers you will find books on fruit, flowers and trees and wooden fruit to play with.  This project was made possible by the generous in-kind donations of Kathleen M. Parrish.

More baskets are on the way!
