Open House for Educators

at the Jackson Homestead and Durant-Kenrick House

Join Historic Newton's education staff on

Thursday, October 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. 

for an open house for educators at the Jackson Homestead and Museum and at the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds to learn about how your classroom, after-school program, scout troop, camp, or youth group can use Historic Newton's resources to meet curriculum goals and learners' interests.

At the open house you can:

  • Preview Historic Newton education programs
  • Tour the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds
  • Explore the exhibits at the Jackson Homestead
  • Play historic games
  • Network with colleagues over refreshments
  • Schedule your Historic Newton field trip
  • Talk with our educators about creating custom programs
