Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds hosts First Vacation Week Program

Kids experienced colonial daily life this vacation week at Durant-Kenrick.  Families spun yarn, dried apples, embroidered a handkerchief and learned about daily life in the colonial era in Newton for both Native and English families.  Kids planted radishes and then watered it using a reproduction water pot and bucket.  The most fun part was playing a colonial game!  Some elements of this program will be used in a new school field trip program that will be piloted in the spring.
