Photo Show Captures Life in Newton During COVID-19

See How 21 Photographers Documented the Shutdown

How did Newton residents connect with one another during a time of social distancing? How did they cope with the shutdown? Their images are captured in a photo contest to capture moments of everyday life during COVID-19 in Newton. Historic Newton, Newton Cultural Development, and Newton Community Pride collaborated to produce the contest.

A jury of representatives from the Newton Art Association, the Newton Camera Club, and Newton Community Pride selected 21 photos and accompanying descriptions to display. View the virtual exhibit here.

The photos will also be framed and exhibited in Newton City Hall this fall. All submissions will be archived at Historic Newton as a way to document this historic time.
