Historic Newton's History Book Club meets regularly to discuss books about history. Meetings are free and open to all. The next meeting takes place Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jackson Homestead to discussThe Cold War: A New History by John Lewis Gaddis. The New York Times calls is a "succinct, crisply argued account" of the Cold War that "synthesizes the mountains of archival material that began appearing in the 1960s."
