Newton Youth Services strives to:
      • Create and encourage communication about youth issues and problems
      • Assess needs and gaps in youth services in Newton and find resources/solutions to address them 
      • Inform community members about Newton resources and programs 
      • Create and implement avenues for youth voices to be heard in our community 
      • Increase connections and collaborations among organizations that currently provide youth services

Youth Interagency Taskforce


The Youth Interagency Task Force (YITF) is convened by the City’s Health & Human Services Department. YITF is made up of youth services providers from across the city and meets quarterly to share information and address issues of concern and importance related to youth.

Youth Interagency Task Force meetings are held from 10am-11:30am in City Hall Room 202. Please contact the Youth Services Director with any questions or if your organization is interested in being a part of the YITF.

Newton Youth Commission


The Newton Youth Commission is a volunteer body of adults and high school students working together to empower youth.

Youth Commission meetings are held at 7pm in City Hall Cafeteria and are open to the public. Please click here to learn more. If you are interested in joining the Youth Commission please contact the Youth Services Director.

Newton Teen Voices

Newton Teen Voices is an opportunity for teens to make a difference in Newton by representing the interests of Newton teens as Youth Commission leaders. NTV members engage in meaningful social action, advocacy and service projects and connect with peer leaders, public service menotrs and the Mayor directly.

If you are a high school age student, please join Newton Teen Voices and let your voice be heard!
