Request for Service
Streetlight out, parking meter not working, sign knocked down or missing? For non-emergency service requests and questions, please use the on-line Customer Service Center or call our office directly and someone will respond to you as soon as possible. If you see a traffic signal, streetlight, sign or anything else knocked down or that appears unsafe and requires immediate attention, call the Newton Police Dispatch at 617-796-2100. DO NOT submit an on-line request where an immediate response is necessary.

Please click on the link for updates on upcoming MassPike construction work. The Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) is one of the most highly used corridors in the state and because of the abutting relation of Newton to Boston, this information is being disseminated to Newton residents.

The City recently installed four new LED decorative fixtures along the west side of Centre Street from Pelham to Pleasant Street. One of the fixtures is not lit intentionally pending work to be performed by NSTAR this summer. In addition, the five fixtures along the east side of Centre Street (village green) will be replaced with new LED decorative fixtures like the four along the west side, also by the end of the summer.
