Neighborhood Parking Plans

Newtonville Neighborhood Parking District

The Newton North Neighborhood Parking District was the first neighborhood parking plan in Newton, encompasses an area of about 40 streets in Newtonville, south of the Newtonville Village Center.  This plan was developed over the course of two years through a series of community meetings, and the plan was rolled out in summer 2013. New parking regulations were put in place, superseding an outdated series of parking restrictions in the neighborhood. The plan features a permit override option available to residents and a limited number of non-residents (i.e., NNHS students). The plan continues to change as needed through the Traffic Council process.
