Newton Recycles Week 2004

November 15 -19, 2004 is Newton Recycles Week!

November 15th is America Recycles Day, in order to show our support, the Mayor has declared the week of November 15th through November 19th , Newton Recycles Week!

What can you do?

• Fully participate in Newton's Curbside Recycling Program .

• Visit our Recycling Depot .

• Check out our Recyclopedia Listings to see what else you can recycle.

• Bring in your old cell phones, ink jet cartridges, and rechargeable batteries to City Hall for recycling.

• Junk your Junk Mail!

• Start Composting at home! Click here for more information.

• At home and at work, be sure to place a recycling container next to each trash container

• Bring reusable bags to the store when you do your shopping.

• Buy recycled-content products! "Close the loop"

• Use paper on both sides before recycling.

• When working with large documents, make sure you've proofread and made changes before printing it out.
