Keeping Newton Beautiful

In an effort to enhance the quality of life, Mayor Setti Warren has started a new beautification program, coordinated by the Division of Environmental Affairs in the Department of Public Works.

Mission Statement:
To initiate, promote, coordinate and implement quality beautification projects within the village, city street, and open space areas. To improve the appearance of Newton for people who have invested their lives here and for people visiting in conjunction with citizens, schools, community-based organizations, and businesses.

News ImageChristmas Tree Collections, Weeks of January 5th & 12th
December 28, 2014  The Department of Public Works will be collecting Christmas trees for recycling for two weeks – during the week of January 5th and the week of January 12th. Residents wishing to recycle their Christmas trees should place their undecorated trees curbside by 7:00 a.m. on their collection day during either week. For more information, please click here.

December 16, 2014  Trash and Recycling will be collected the day after your regular scheduled collection day for the following City holidays.
