Keeping Newton Beautiful

In an effort to enhance the quality of life, Mayor Setti Warren has started a new beautification program, coordinated by the Division of Environmental Affairs in the Department of Public Works.


Mission Statement:
To initiate, promote, coordinate and implement quality beautification projects within the village, city street, and open space areas. To improve the appearance of Newton for people who have invested their lives here and for people visiting in conjunction with citizens, schools, community-based organizations, and businesses.

Highlands Community Meeting
May 5, 2013  The Highlands Area Council invites you to join your neighbors at the Women's Club in Newton Highlands, 72 Columbus St, at 7:30 PM for a community meeting to update residents on issues within the Highlands.
Regular Thursday, Friday trash routes to be collected on Saturday
April 19, 2013  If your regular collection day for trash and recycling is Thursday or Friday, your collection will take place on Saturday, April 20th. Please place your trash and recycling curbside by 7am on Saturday, April 20th.

Weekly Yard Waste Collections resume week of April 1st
