In accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 271 Section 7A all organizations holding a raffle or bazaar as a fundraiser must obtain a permit to conduct a Raffle and/or Bazaar from the City of Newton.

Please Note: The application process has several steps and once your paperwork is submitted, it will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to process. Please plan accordingly. Once issued, your permit will be good for one year from the date of issue.
Both first time applications and long standing raffles and bazaars must have a Charitable Gaming Department "green form" which can be obtained only in person through the City Clerks Office.
Additionally, EACH officer or member of the organization must complete a notarized "Declaration of Qualified Applicants" form which is included in the Raffle and Bazaar Application.
There is a application fee of $10.00 payable by cash, check (payable to City of Newton) or debit card at the City Clerks Office.
