The Programs and Services Committee reviews items relating to the Human Services Department, Library, Recreation Department, Law Department (except for claims), Veterans’ Services Department, Licensing Commission, City Clerk, Clerk of the Board, Rules of the Board, Election Commission, Health Department, City Physician, Newton Public Schools, Community Schools, Newton Housing Authority. As well as matters relating to the inter-relationship of the School Committee and Newton Public Schools with other areas of City government.

A PUBLIC COMMENT MEETING WILL BE HELD BY THE PROGRAMS & SERVICES COMMITTEE ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10TH IN THE ALDERMANIC CHAMBER OF NEWTON CITY HALL, 7:00PM
THIS WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PROGRAMS & SERVICES COMMITTEE TO HEAR FROM ALL THOSE INTERESTED OR CONCERNED WITH THE PROPOSED LEAF BLOWER ORDINANCE. A SIGN-UP SHEET FOR SPEAKERS WILL BE AVAILBLE STARTING AT 6:30PM.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE MEETING OR PREFER NOT TO SPEAK, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENTS, IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY, TO KDEAN@NEWTONMA.GOV THEY WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE BOARD AND BE PART OF THE RECORD, AS HAVE ALL PAST CORRESPONDENCE.
